The Marathon School District Foundation is sponsoring its annual "Making A Difference" nomination process. The foundation is looking for nominations of those who have reached "above and beyond" expectations to significantly benefit students, their school and/or community during the 2013-2014 school year. Click the link below for a form. Forms should be mailed to the foundation or dropped off in a sealed envelope at one of the three school offices by March 14, 2014.

On Saturday, Feb.1, 2014 the school board voted to use the next 2 early release days(2/5 and 4/16) as normal school days to make up the lost school time recently to inclement weather. The district is short required minutes due to the 4 snow days and by canceling the next 2 early release days the minutes can be recouped. This means that on 2/5 (next Wednesday) and 4/16 students will be in school until the end of the day (normal release time).
Each year in the school district’s Annual Notice mailing we inform parents that the school district may use student photos taken in classrooms, during activities, at sporting events, or in general areas around the school. In the past we would notify you that these photos may be used for the press, school district materials, projects in the classrooms, and on school web page. We are updating our notice to include addtional Internet portals such as the school district facebook, twitter, Instagram, and the district app, etc. If you do not want your childs photo used please contact the building principal.
